A solid action game with good story and some open world elements. I love and hate this game at the same time. On one hand, the story is a good follow up to the film and the open world of NYC is fun and web-swinging is amazingly done. Then there is the combat side. While the one button system works, it is frustrating that there is no targeting system. Changing the camera to the d-pad and making L-trigger targeting would improve the combat system 100%. I also felt the upgrade system only gave me a few new choices in combat but didn't make me feel more powerful. It seemed like for every new or upgraded move I got, the enemies automatically become more resistant to the move I learned. Some of the sewer missions were frustrating as well since for some reason I can crawl on the walls and ceiling as Spider-man, but not subway cars. Overall a good rent for a week or two, but not for full price.
